Coral is amazing it is the skeletal material of calcium carbonate,
built up by small
animals that live in colonies in the sea. Most people like me just
think that coral is white but it actually comes a variety of colours,
Red, pink, white, blue, black and golden. There never seems to be a
huge amount available and I haven't used it that often but what I have
made has been in red as the detail is fascinating.Found mainly on the
African and Mediterranean coasts, Malaysia, and the West Indies. The
best coral comes from the
Mediterranean Sea, particularly off the coasts of Algeria and Tunisia.
I hope to use more in the future.
